Contact Energy
Setting the Standard in Major Projects
Contact Energy is delivering major geothermal projects involving thousands of specialists and contractors from across Aotearoa and around the world. With so many people on site, working well together is essential. It matters for delivery, for culture, for safety and for long-term success.
I was brought in as an Expert in Residence to support cultural alignment at scale. My work focused on designing and embedding a Project Charter that helped everyone understand how to work together - clearly, consistently and with purpose.
The work included:
Leading interactive workshops to shape values, behaviours and expectations
Refining content with key stakeholders across the project
Producing a final Charter that was clear, relevant and usable on site
Creating a practical implementation plan to ensure the work stuck beyond launch
The Charter is now in use across sites to support team alignment, onboard new people and build a stronger, safer project culture.
This was about making culture real. We focused on clarity, relevance and helping people recognise what good looks like, no matter where they came from or which team they were part of.

‘Working with Catie Noble through Upward was a game-changer for StayLive. She brought a calm, clear presence into a pretty complex space, quickly getting her head around our industry and the unique challenges we face.
What really stood out was how she helped bring people together, different companies, different roles, different views, and got us aligned on where we’re heading. She asked smart questions, challenged us when we needed it, and made it easy to have the right conversations.
On top of all that, she’s just a genuinely great human to work with.’
